Students at The Hamilton International School are immersed in a diverse community who cherishes, welcomes, and values all cultural heritages and linguistic roots. In this rich multilingual environment, they enhance their language skills and celebrate linguistic diversity. Following internationally recognized methodologies, they undergo careful assessments and are supported by a collaborative community. Accredited systems and processes uphold high standards in multilingual education, enabling students to celebrate their mother tongue through various cultural events and classroom activities.
Hamilton welcomes students from over 90 nationalities, fostering a diverse international community where we celebrate, share, and maintain home languages through events, activities, and curriculum integration to ensure cultural roots and linguistic heritages are valued.
Students develop strong English proficiency, supported by a dedicated English as an Additional Language Department, crafting tailored and intensive interventions in small group learning environments.
Students accelerate their multilingual skills integrating cutting-edge language learning tools, such as Flash Academy and Linguscope, that support interactive and engaging language acquisition.
Students' language development is assessed in line with the BELL and Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) language frameworks, with progress reports in Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening shared twice a year.
Arab students build strong cultural roots with Arabic and Islamic Studies classes, in line with Quatar's Ministry of Education indications.
Learners keep practicing their home languages with online tools like Pamoja that allow for self-study progresses and lead to official assessments and certifications.
Students enhance their language proficiency by learning French or Spanish as additional classes.

Kindergarten
Our youngest learners take their first steps immersed in an English-speaking environment, with classes led in this language. They also start familiarizing with other world languages, choosing French or Spanish, setting the roots to become proficiently multilingual. Arabic passport holders study Arabic, ensuring they embrace traditional linguistic roots. They further enhance multilingual capabilities with French or Spanish extra-curricular activities. Non-Arab students have the choice of Arabic B, French, or Spanish as additional languages.
Primary, Middle and High School
Students continue to use English as the primary language of learning, while pursuing more advanced lessons in French or Spanish. Arabic passport holders study Arabic, ensuring they embrace traditional linguistic roots. They further enhance multilingual capabilities with French or Spanish extra-curricular activities. Non-Arab students have the choice of Arabic B, French, or Spanish as additional languages.
IB Diploma
Students reach full English mastery, allowing them to explore other languages at various levels. They can choose from French, Spanish, and Arabic, each offering different levels of study to suit their interests and goals. French and Spanish are available at both Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL), while Arabic offers options from beginner (Ab) to advanced (A/B) levels.
Through a rich mix of language experiences, we help students build the skills and resilience they need to thrive.
Students enhance their language learning experiences empowered by partnerships with renowned language providers and organizations, including the French Institute and Hamad Bin Khalifa University Language Department.
Students who need additional help in mastering the English language are supported through an excellent English as an Additional Language provision that ensures fluency and proficiency are achieved.
Students have the option to gain further accreditation in French through the Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française (DELF), providing internationally recognized certification of their language proficiency.
Our school is also partnered with the British Council, acting as an official IELTS English testing center.
Students benefit from a whole-community approach to multilingualism, with teachers working closely with parents and families to support language development both in and outside of school.
