The Hamilton International School is pleased to announce an enhanced Primary leadership structure for the 2026–2027 academic year, further strengthening teaching, learning, and student wellbeing across the school.

Welcoming Jacinth Gurdon as Head of Primary

Leading this next chapter will be Jacinth Gurdon, who joins Hamilton as Head of Primary in August 2026. Bringing more than 25 years of international experience across the United States, the Middle East, and Asia, Ms Gurdon is recognized for her commitment to academic excellence, inclusive education, and building strong school communities.

Enhancing Teaching and Learning Across Primary

Supporting Ms Gurdon will be a dedicated leadership team focused on ensuring every student benefits from a high-quality and consistent learning experience. Tomos Austin has been appointed Assistant Head of Primary for Teaching and Learning, where Mr Austin will lead curriculum development, assessment, and teaching quality across the Primary School.

Strengthening Student Wellbeing and Pastoral Care

The school also welcomes Tom Marchment Williams as Assistant Head of Primary for Student Life. In this role, Mr Marchment Williams will oversee student wellbeing, attendance, behaviour, and family support, helping to further strengthen the pastoral care that is central to the Hamilton experience.

Claire Driscoll will continue as Assistant Head of Early Childhood, with an expanded remit that now includes KG2, creating greater continuity for Hamilton's youngest learners.

Expanding Subject Leadership and Curriculum Opportunities

The strengthened structure also introduces dedicated Subject Leaders in English, Mathematics, and Science and Social Studies. In response to parent feedback, Social Studies will also become a dedicated subject area from this academic year, providing students with even greater opportunities to explore the world around them.

Building on Hamilton's Commitment to Excellence

These developments reflect Hamilton's continued commitment to providing an outstanding educational experience where every child feels supported, challenged, and inspired to achieve their full potential. As the school looks ahead to the 2026–2027 academic year, the enhanced leadership team will play a key role in building on the school's success and creating even more opportunities for students to thrive.
